Field Trips

We value student’s exposure to different experiences and environments outside of the classroom. Our students typically attend one field trip a month in the community or participate in special visits to our school from outside groups. Parents, guardians, and younger siblings typically accompany children on field trips.

- Harner Farm to pick pumpkins and apples and even navigate a corn maze
- Trader Joe’s to see how a grocery store works and learn about healthy food choices
- Attending a live show at Eisenhower Auditorium
- Fire truck visit to the school to learn about fire safety
- Visit to Millbrook Marsh to explore and learn about nature with their staff
- Touring the State College Airport and sitting in an airplane
- Visit from a Shaver’s Creek educator with bird and reptile animal friends
- Getting out some cabin fever by playing in the Tumble Bus
- End of the year party and graduation ceremony at Spring Creek Park
