Field Trips

Picture
We value student’s exposure to different experiences and environments outside of the classroom. Our students typically attend one field trip a month in the community or participate in special visits to our school from outside groups. Parents, guardians, and younger siblings typically accompany children on field trips.

Past field trips and classroom visitors have included :
  • Harner Farm to pick pumpkins and apples and even navigate a corn maze
  • Trader Joe’s to see how a grocery store works and learn about healthy food choices
  • Attending a live show at Eisenhower Auditorium
  • Fire truck visit to the school to learn about fire safety
  • Visit to Millbrook Marsh to explore and learn about nature with their staff
  • Touring the State College Airport and sitting in an airplane
  • Visit from a Shaver’s Creek educator with bird and reptile animal friends
  • Getting out some cabin fever by playing in the Tumble Bus
  • End of the year party and graduation ceremony at Spring Creek Park
